You close the cereal box lid cause it’s designed to be closed. There’s literally a flap for the thing to go under.

Gav is mostly correct, Sam Houston was president and tried to take the state (country) archived from Austin which pretty much meant moving the capitol. How does Gav know the history better than them?

I was listening to this on Google play and the conversation about cold brew coffee annoyed me so much that i came onto ALworks to share what i know. Normal coffee is hot water filtered through the grounds and a filter, espresso is more like steam forced through compressed grounds, and cold brew is a bag of grounds sitting in water in a cooler for awhile to steep. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

If you’re going to talk about scientific things you should really have a scientist in the room. Literally nothing they said in the Uranium discussion is accurate... FYI 1. Uranium is an alpha emitter, so not only would nobody driving down the highway be affected but even someone standing 5 feet from the canister would be affected as alpha particles cannot penetrate human skin. 2. Enrichment does not mean increasing the radioactivity of a sample. Enrichment simply refers to the ratio of primary nuclear fuel to other isotopes in the fuel mix of the same element. So when we say 8% U-235 enrichment that means 8% of the fuel mix is Uranium 235 and 92% Uranium 238. 3. Waste from commercial nuclear reactors has never been used for the production of WMDs in the USA. First of all there are multiple US laws prohibiting this. Second of all it is significantly more practical and cheaper to create weapons grade in a military reactor, because they operate at much shorter fuel cycles. As the fuel cycle increases the enrichment of transmitter or bred fissile products significantly decreased. Commercial nuclear reactors operate for 8-14 months. At this fuel cycle the concentration of Plutonium 240 exceeds the limit for weapons grade Plutonium. Commercial grade is about 15-20% whereas weapons grade is 3-8%. You can produce weapons, but because your concentrations exceed weapons grade you now require more exhaustive centrifuges that are very expensive and time consuming. 4. The USA, UK, USSR and India have all tested WMDs using Uranium 233, so the idea that we cannot make bombs out of fissile material bred from Thorium 232 is historically inaccurate. We use Uranium as a fuel source, because it was the first fissile fuel source used in nuclear reactors. We discovered nuclear power using Uranium 235 in 1946. We discovered nuclear power using Plutonium 239 in 1951. We discovered nuclear power using Uranium 233 in 1956. 5. Spent fuel refers to materials that have undergone a fission reaction and are the products of that reaction. There is no such thing as spent Uranium, as Uranium is the initial material used in the reaction. What you are actually referring to is depleted uranium, which is any concentration of uranium 235 that is lower than uranium 238 that originated from the production of enriched uranium, typically less than 1%. Depleted uranium is not only used by the military, even though that is what it is typically referenced for. It is also used in the aerospace industry as counterweights for aircraft, medical industry for radiation therapy, industrial radiography equipment etc.
